The most expensive thing in used parts isn't the part — it's the second shipment after the first one didn't fit. Here's how we'd check if it were our car.
1. Start with your VIN, not your memory
Your VIN encodes the engine, transmission, trim and often the option packages. Every fitment question we get answered wrong started with "I think it's the 3.5."
2. Match the interchange, then read the qualifier
Find the part on our site and compare the interchange qualifier to your vehicle: does yours have automatic temperature control? Blind spot alert? A tow package? Those words are there because they change the part.
3. Compare the part in your hands
Connector count and shape, mounting-bolt pattern, casting numbers, and any ID sticker. Our photos are of the actual part on our shelf, not stock images, so you can compare before you buy.
4. Ask about the stuff nobody mentions
Some parts fit mechanically but still need setup: modules need programming, some radios need dealer activation, keys need to be cut and learned. If that applies, our listing says so — and if you're not sure, ask.
5. When in doubt, send the VIN
We do this all day. It takes us a minute and it costs you nothing.
Still not sure? Text your VIN to 828-667-2239 or call 800-222-5414. We'll look up the interchange and tell you straight whether we have it.
