Nearly every used part we sell carries a Hollander interchange number — something like 545-11046. The first half is the part type (545 is anti-lock brake parts). The second half identifies which specific version of that part fits which vehicles. It's the closest thing the salvage industry has to a universal language.
Why year, make and model isn't enough
Two identical-looking 2018 sedans off the same assembly line can take different parts depending on options: with or without adaptive cruise, tow package, automatic temperature control, a different audio system. The body is the same. The part isn't. Interchange captures those differences; a model year doesn't.
That's why on our site every listing shows the interchange number and the qualifier that goes with it — things like "w/ paddle shifter, w/o leather" or "display and receiver, ID 510179 on radio face." If your car matches the qualifier, the part fits.

- Pull the part number or ID off your original part if you still have it.
- Search our site by year, make, model and part type — we show the interchange on every result.
- Or skip all of it and text us your VIN. We look it up in seconds.
One honest caveat
Interchange is excellent, not magic. Mid-year production changes and dealer-installed options can still surprise you. When a listing has a qualifier, read it. When you're unsure, ask us before you order — that's free, and a return isn't.
